Behind the Attack

I am Daniel Pratt—a Software Engineer bridging the gap between the legendary 16-bit RPG era and modern technical architecture.

Architecture of the Mind

My approach to game development is shaped by Autism—a neurodivergence that allows for the deep-dive technical focus required to build custom C++ GDExtensions and the obsessive attention to detail found in high-bit pixel art.

The UNAR Labs Legacy

Before founding Pratt Attack, I served as the Lead Developer at UNAR Labs, where I specialized in accessibility and Human-Computer Interaction (HCI). This background in assistive technology ensures that my games aren't just technical marvels, but are designed with a fundamental understanding of how humans interact with digital worlds.

Resilience & Long COVID

The journey to Echobound hasn't been a straight line. Navigating the challenges of Long COVID has fundamentally shifted my perspective on development, emphasizing the need for sustainable, high-quality engineering over "crunch" culture. It is the fuel behind my move to a solo-studio model.

The Road to Tampere

Following the launch of Echobound, Pratt Attack Studios will begin a multi-stage relocation journey from the woods of Maine to Tampere, Finland. This strategic move focuses on integrating with the Finnish game-dev ecosystem—positioning the studio within one of the world's most innovative technical hubs as we transition into this new chapter.
