The First Attack: Initializing Pratt Attack Studios

Terve, Tampere!

I’ve officially registered the domain and laid the digital bricks for Pratt Attack Studios. This is the first entry in what will be a long journey from Durham, Maine, to the heart of the Finnish game development scene.

My goal for the coming months is to build a rock-solid foundation—technically, creatively, and professionally.

The Destination: Tampere

After researching the Finnish ecosystem, I’ve set my sights on Tampere. With its world-class Game Dev Hub and reputation for supporting indie innovation, it is the perfect environment to launch Pratt Attack. I look forward to connecting with the community at Platform6 this spring.


The Roadmap to Launch

Between now and my arrival in Finland, my focus is centered on three core pillars:

1. Technical Mastery (The “Deep Work” Phase) I am dedicating my mornings to mastering Godot 4 and C# architecture. In the afternoons, I’m training in Aseprite to ensure our studio’s visual identity is as sharp as our code.

2. Narrative & World Building Before the first line of production code is written, the world must exist. I am currently focusing on the Core Design Document for our debut title: defining the lore, character arcs, and the unique mechanical “hook” that will define the Pratt Attack experience.

3. The Business Blueprint A primary objective is finalizing the Pratt Attack Business Plan. This document will serve as my roadmap for the Finnish Startup Permit process and our studio’s strategic growth within the Nordic market.
